  1. “Chup kyon baithe ho? Chilao sab!” seems like such a universal cry. Something is Wrong. Do something to change it!

    I don’t remember much of 2008. I know historically where I worked and how old my kids were, but not much else. I don’t remember seeing this on TV, though I’m sure it was. The loss of my own memories of it make me value yours even more.

    1. @Topher: It made international headlines. For one it was orchestrated to be a big show – a public humiliation for the victim country, similar to the scale of 9/11. The terrorists arrived by boat, stayed at the most prestigious hotel in Mumbai facing the sea and ran sophisticated weaponry and media coverage from within the place. Secondly, it coincided with the rise of citizen journalism and social media so it was one of those textbook cases (the other one being the Tehran protests covered on Twitter at the time)>
