  1. @ Scorp Kitten: Oh, precisely! The thing that intrigues me is that men are drawn to older women as well as the metaphorically younger child-woman. It’s the peers that seem to be a problem for them.

@ Rambler: 🙂 And thank you for confirming it from the male perspective. That’s much appreciated (and needed!) on XX Factor.

  2. I think you are right, I have just seen life in a metro, somewhere I think I like her, mostly the character she plays in all three.
Actually I have written about this in past, there is something about women and vulnerability that appeals to me, something about imperfection which attracts.
But I am surprised you spotted that.. in men.

  3. From my experiences I would have to say that I believe another reason men love the girlishness of the “child/woman” is because she tends to look up to the man as a kind of hero/friend; something i think some of the more mature women have lost and more importantly, don’t have time for. In my personal relationships I have a lot of male friends all who would like to take it a step further, me, I just find them simply fascinating and funny (truly)…

  4. @ Melody: I don’t know your friend but I don’t agree with him.

    @ a.e.i.o.u.: And indulged in some back-handed male-bashing as well! 😉

  5. “… another indication of the Modern Man seeking reprieve from his now-too-smart female counterpart… and turning to a woman who will be one of those someday but not just yet.”

Girl, you have hit the nail on the “head”!

  6. lol… read the post – and came to the part where you say:

“Child-woman. Hmm. I don’t loathe that description as much as Princess but it does seem a step away from BabyDoll”

And I think – a friend of mine insists on calling me child-woman & almost everyone I know calls me Princess – lol… mercifully have never been called Baby Doll !!
