    1. @Triya: Definitely. But I was talking about some very common stereotypes about religion and social community. Obviously our interpretations beyond that would depend on our individual experiences and associations with that particular name.

      @thesanelyinsane: That might be true if it were a mindless exercise, like an actual run. But a book is entirely a mind-muscle-flex and it’s rather impossible to not think while writing. Hehehe, and I’m not sure what the pink condom thing is about. I can’t see anything right now!

  1. I agree about names being important, but in a different sense.

    When you say you pick a name to ‘go’ with your character. While a name may bring up a particular picture in your head, it may bring up a totally different one in mine. I think it’s more a matter of the writer being comfortable with the name,m right?
