The day stretches on like chewing gum that’s lost its flavour a long time ago. Yet, you won’t spit it out.
I spend most of my waking day at work. It is my home and the holder of my identity. How can the space not be important?
Visits: 0 She looked younger in real life. Younger, not better. At least, in the photograph on the website she was smiling. “Sandeep? Hi. Sharia.” He was already on his feet, shaking her hand. Then he stopped, hoping it wasn’t too vigorous a handshake and that her fingers weren’t hurting….
I wrote this for an Alphabet Sambar prompt. It’s dark per my usual but with a tighter rein on craft. It’s called LUKA.
I’m not single because I can’t get a man. I’m not single because I’m against marriage. I’m not single because I’m busy. I’m single by choice. It’s an option.
Who are you when there isn’t anyone around to recognise you? Do you know this person?
@ Ashish: Sometimes I doubt that.
@ shub, blankspaces, chandni: 🙂
@ {illyria}: But sometimes it is so difficult to live with!
@ rahul: There’s a lifetime between ‘should’ and ‘does’.
@ Cynic: Some things are really better written about than experienced; wouldn’t you agree?
@ Brad: That’s why you are my AE! That was six words too, so there! And this last one too, what say? Ha ha ha ha ha ha!

@ Rambler: Is it? I don’t know. I’m too young to write my memoirs!
@ chennairamblings: Precisely. 🙄
It’s ironic, isn’t it?
We somehow sacrifice individuality for acceptance, all the time.

I think best thing about any memoir is “striving”..It never ends, does it?
