I’m a woman who struggles with the assumption that I cook. He opposes the idea that as a man he can’t. But family kitchens follow gender stereotypes.
Reading SUGARBREAD was like eating a whole green chilli. It made me feel like I’d been punched in the gut. Satisfaction came after tears.
Delhi & Mumbai, two definitions of what it means to me. A nostalgic, dramatic legacy? Or a rags-to-riches renegade?
I was diagnosed with a thyroid deficiency and prescribed a pill I’ll need to take every day for the rest of my life.
Marol is where the ‘Mumbaiker spirit’ goes to die. *I should know, I grew up there.
These things never go away.If there has ever been history, it will show even if you are in the same room. Yes, very dramatic. And perhaps romantic. Heartening, even to some. But reality seems to indicate otherwise. Attraction, like everything else, is impermanent. Or perhaps I’m only thinking of fancy…
