Chinks in the armour

A smile can say so much and hide so much more
Whoever said that language is the art of concealing thought, had the right idea.

On and on the rain will fall
Like tears from the sky
On and on the rain will sing
How fragile we are

Slender shoulders valiently bearing burdens, refusing to droop
A busy blur of a life elaborately fabricated to keep the silence from drowning the world
Everyone is fighting a different battle
Victories gaining, truces forged
And every moment a little part of somebody somewhere dies
Still the wheels of time will turn on and on
And life will endure

There is so much beauty in the world,
Sometimes..I swear I can’t bear it
